Ridiculously fantastic coat from the 1920s. Where to start....salmon pink silk lining in *exceptional* condition complete with a hand stitched designer label, reads "Ruth Dougherty, Designer", the sleeves are wide kimono style with a smaller cuff completely covered in exquisite silk and velvet leaves. The front of the coat swings across with detailed stitching (matching the detail running the length of each sleeve) and a little flutter at the hem area, no closures but a large snap or button could be added here is desired, right now it falls open to reveal the lining which really is a great look! The condition of the coat is wonderful, a few hand stitches secure velvet to silk lining at the back of the collar and I have only found a few tiny gaps in the velvet, remarkable for the antiquity. A very special collector's piece. Additional photos and notes available upon request.
