Annie Karakaian Ceramic Figure / 1970

Fabulous ceramic reclining figure, signed  by Annie Karakaian 9/15/70. I did find an online artist (photographer) of that name (b. 1911 in Turkey) who worked actively as an art teacher in New York City during the 70s and beyond but there is no mention of ceramics specifically so it is not possible for me to attribute this piece to her. A weighty, beautiful piece. Not available for international shipping. 

condition: very good. the clay is painted but is not glazed.
