Jeweled Victorian Portrait / 1961

Large and quite stunning portrait of a woman wearing plentiful gold jewelry, including a cameo at the waist. The portrait is very striking and though difficult to read is signed "Jo Ranel (?), '61", likely painted from a photograph though I have no other information about the piece. Canvas has been glued to a board. Wire for hanging will be attached after purchase. The painting is likely oil but does have a matte feel. Fantastic addition to a portrait gallery wall.
