C. Figart Oil Painting / 1944

Beautiful pastel oil painting of a woman in a special gown or dancer/ballerina. After some research, it appears C. Figart is Catherine Figart, who worked as a Vogue Fashion Illustrator from 1950-53. The colors and brushwork are very beautiful and it would work so well on a portrait or vintage gallery wall. 

Signed C. Figart and dated '44 

Great condition with a little paint loss at the lower and upper edges, the wooden frame is newer, canvas looks to be attached the frame fairly recently. See all close ups.
