1940s Fashion Illustrations - Set of 6 by Jeanne Nelson

Incredibly cool set of 6 shoe & purse illustrations by Jeanne Nelson, two dates are noted on the rear, 1941 and 1943. The color illustraitions are actually cut-outs which have been carefully glued onto the paper, except the white set which is hand-painted directly onto the paper. Selling as an unframed set, just needs great frames to hang on the wall as a wonderful fashion history collection!

I believe I also found Jeanne's obituary (d.2004 at age 85) where her work history is mentioned: "She had worked as a fashion designer for Bloomingdale’s, NYC and also at G.Fox Co. in Hartford".
