Antique Embroidered Linen Dress / 1910s
Fantastic wide weave, very soft linen antique dress in a bohemian style with embroidery and smocking at the bodice. Ties at the side of waist to secure in the rear but could also cinch at the front. Pale "dijon" color, I LOVE this piece, it flows beautifully and I couldn't resist those splits in the skirt with covered button detail. The sleeveless nature threw me at first but this seems to be a more recent alteration, perhaps due to damage. Very wearable piece and looks wonderful over a summery blouse. *the color was difficult to shoot and is a less bright tone in natural light, (more like a naturally dyed garment).
condition: great for the antiquity, see notes above re the alterations, a few small pulls in the wide weave fabric. Small mark at the waist and covered buttons on the bodice are a little darkened. VERY wearable.
waist 32" before cinching
bodice length (high waist style) 14"
skirt length 43"
skirt splits (front) 18"
